What will my first time in the gym be like?
However you find your way to Lost Coast CrossFit, our coaches will meet you where you are in your fitness journey.  Your first CrossFit class is all about getting comfortable and learning the basics.  Our coaches will guide through the warm-up, teach foundational movements, and scale the workout to your level – no matter your experience.  You will leave feeling accomplished, energized, and excited to come back for more!

What is your drop-in policy?

Whether your here for a day or staying for a whole week, we have a drop-in policy to suit your needs.  Single or multi-session drop-ins are available for travelers and visiting CrossFitters.  Whether you’re in town for a quick visit with family, for work, or just passing through, come workout with us!  Make us your gym home-away-from-home!  

A single session drop-in is $25.  If you are staying for more than a day, you can purchase a 2-day pass for $40, or a week pass for $75.  Multi-day passes can be shared.  Click the link at the top of the page and register for a class.

 

How often do you recommend going to the gym?

This varies from person to person but generally we find 3 days a week to be the minimum to affect results. 

Do I have to be fit to do CrossFit?

No.  You do CrossFit to get fit.  The CrossFit methodology can be scaled and applied to all fitness and capability levels. CrossFit is for everyBODY.

What about nutrition?

Maybe you’ve heard abs are made in the kitchen.  That’s because you can’t out-train a poor diet.  In fact, nutrition is considered the foundation of performance, recovery, and long-term results.  The CrossFit Fitness Pyramid places Nutrition at the base – as a support for metabolic conditioning, gymanastics, weightlifting, and sport.  Here’s why:

Performance: Fueling your body with the right foods gives you the energy and stamina required by high intensity interval training.

Recovery:  Proper nutrition accelerates recovery by repairing muscles and reducing inflammation between sessions.

Body Composition:  Nutrition plays a key role in muscle gain and fat loss.

Longevity and Health:  Clean eating supports joint health, hormone balance, and overall well-being, all of which are essential for staying active for years to come.
